Kallas
Kallas means “shore”. A place to set out into Estonian radio and return with a new musical discovery.
Kallas is an independent editorial guide to Estonian radio. We help you choose a direction, compare programmes and notice details in the sound. The coastal illustrations set the mood of these pages; they do not depict a particular recording location or studio.
The catalogue retains the real names of five Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) stations. Kallas is not part of the broadcaster. Each station has its own editorial team; current programmes and playback are available through the official links.
The journal offers short routes for curious listeners, from the rhythm of an unfamiliar language to the timbre of an ensemble. Broadcaster information comes with sources. Listening suggestions are invitations to experiment, without promising a particular experience.
How the selection works
We group stations by musical style and publish articles to help you hear more. Each station links to an official source; the broadcaster determines its programmes and schedule.
